Who is the Kee?
He is that Korean guy over there working the knobs on the keyboard, moving the mouse erratically across the computer screen and basically trying to do everything at once. He is slowly increasing his eye sensitivity to light as he works endlessly in his downtown Brooklyn recording studio, Rice Station (www.ricestation.com), every chance he gets. He has worked with local NYC acts like Heroes of the Alamo, Marc Rosenthal, The Radical Thought Resistance, Sin and Tonic and Bionic Finger. He even has an assistant engineering credit on an old Marc Anthony album. He plays keys/samples in the electronica-dance band Funmachine (www.funmachinery.com) and is currently recording an EP with them at Rice Station. He likes to compose/produce/engineer all styles of music: pop, electronica, house, rock, folk, hip-hop and even a little jazz if the mood is right. He professes to play piano, guitar, flute, and even the tamborine and finger cymbals if needed. So go ahead, poke him while he is working, he will not move. He will not even notice that you are in the same room unless you have a bag of gummi bears on you. |
