With this effort, Ms. Lucas is poised for veridical abundance.” Christine Lucas, a true vocal talent and inspirational songwriter, currently resides in New York City where she lives out her passion as a singer, songwriter and front woman for her own band. With the release of “Surrender,” Lucas’ debut CD, her electro-acoustic uplifting music truly represents her as an artist both lyrically and musically. Her dance/pop/rock sounds are reminiscent musically of Dido, Nelly Furtado, Madonna, and Sarah McLachlan with dynamic vocal range and strength. Christine Lucas was born and raised in Maryland, outside of Washington DC. She attended The George Washington University where she continued her classical vocal training. After college, Lucas moved to Miami Beach where she sang in a jazz band. While living in South Beach, her love of music furthered her interest in DJ's and house music. Since living in New York City, she has worked with various producers and songwriters developing her sound. Lucas currently trains vocally with renowned voice coach Katie Agresta and is also learning how to play the acoustic guitar. In addition to playing live with her current original band, Lucas has performed at New York City's Roxy nightclub with Razor and Guido at a WKTU Anniversary Party and was featured on E televisions' Wild on Ibiza, singing her house music single "Be There." Other performances include the Creamfields Festival in the UK, and the Yellow Records/Deep Touch Records party at the Winter Music Conference in Miami. Christine is also employed by one of the most sought after entertainment companies in New York, where she is a lead singer for a ten piece cover band which performs regularly all over the Tri-State area.
